I just got a lovely text from my niece and thought I’d share the sentiment with those of you who also think time is zooming by far too fast.

“The Griswolds went shopping and abandoned Clark to the attic on the 23rd and it’s not even the 23rd yet.”

Brilliant.

I’m pressing the hold button, firmly, and am intending to spend the day soaking up all the joy and magic and eggnog I can.

Before I go, here’s a wee little gift for you. Can you guess which box it’s in?

One of Francine’s creative masterpieces …

Just a reminder that, as with this painting, life is an unfinished canvas just waiting to be filled in and colored.

Wishing you and yours the very best of the Holiday Season. I’ll see you back here bright and chipper in the New Year.

  4. I’m reading this back on work on January 2 and it was a much needed infusion of cheer, both the message and the picture of Francine’s masterpiece.

    Thank you, Kelly!

  5. Ah, that Francine is SO TALENTED. I can stare at that picture for an hour… those little people, the detail, and that gorgeous church! Well, I see a church- but it might be a house along with the other one. Ha! Just a beautiful painting and a beautiful sentiment you shared here, Kelly. I hope you had a beautiful eggnog filled holiday, my friend! 2018 is the year of THE BOOK, right? 🙂

    1. Yes, it is a church – good spotting, Chris. I had a verrrrry eggnog filled holiday, so much so that my pants are now tighter than tight. Thank you for your kind wishes and support. I really do appreciate it.
