I do apologize. I must have been so annoying.
Please have a glass of wine on me.
That Spark That Got Me Sharing Online
How was I SO annoying?
“Well, that’s goin’ in the book!” Yes, this was my constant refrain every time I pulled yet another Just TypiKel move. You know, those choice moments that only seem to happen to me. Or my mom.
What book? Depends who you asked. Mom assured me endlessly that I had a book in me about the ten years that I worked with her. Lord knows we had some “special” moments working together.
I didn’t see it as it always loomed huge to me. It was too much. No. My book was going to be about how my darling duo managed to survive being raised by me. I’d blather on about the choice moments like the time Kelly, fed up to the teeth with her children’s refusals to eat a meal she’d prepared, scooped up her dinner and plopped herself outside on the back steps, announcing to anyone within earshot “I love you but I cannot spend ONE more second in your presence.” Or the time she hurled a delicious dinner of cheese sandwiches over the backseat at her kids whilst zooming from skating lessons to swimming lessons and shouted at them that they were “damn lucky to be fed anything at all …”
Mother of the year, right?
They are now 21 and 22 and thriving beyond everyone’s wildest hopes. Thankfully.
With such rich material at my fingertips, you’d think I’d be on book six. But nope, I never tapped into it. I wrote nothing and shared even less.
Until that time I was over visiting Mom and I stumbled upon something that would change my life forever. It was that spark that got me sharing online.
What was it?
Well you’ll have to click here to find out.

Thank you, Jane. Can’t tell you how much your support means to me. Truly.
So awesome to have you on Tech Life to share your story, K-Mac!
Okay so I clicked and what a great post. I was wondering about the Memoir Project as after I published the post which was my sister’s eulogy I received many requests to write a book…no money of course, but people liked my writing. I think I may take a second look at the memoir Project…you never know.
I can’t wait for your book, personally. Great interview and piece at TechLife- you have such an amazing & inspiring story.
Thanks so very much, Allison, for your kind words. I apologize for the horrifically long delay in responding. No reflection on you, I assure you! Happy New Year!
Oooooh!! You KNOW I have always wanted you to write a book- ever since I started reading about all your hilarious adventures and mishaps, and my gosh- your story in itself is AMAZING and INSPIRING to boot! Off to go discover what’s going ON!!
