Whoopsie. I wish I could honestly say that I never had to ask my darling children to forgive my horrid behaviour. Towards them. But that would be a classic falsehood. And a naughty way to start off 2016. So I’ll be honest. Just between you and me, I’m fairly certain I had to do it at least 10, 40, oh hell, let’s be completely honest, at least a zillion times.
But looking back over these past 21 years of motherhood, I must say that I am rather shocked. There is one area that I managed to hold it together. One area in which I never had to apologize and beg for forgiveness. What was it? Well, I’m sharing that wondrous gem and all the saliva sprayed invective more importantly, the reason that stopped me short, over on The Good Mother Project today.
What is The Good Mother Project? It’s a supportive online writing community where women are encouraged to share the truth about their experiences as mothers. Real Moms. Real Conversations. Real Heart. I love it. Every month they offer up a theme. This month’s is Forgiveness.
Show Me How To Move
Forgive me, but I’d be delighted if you’d click on this link to Show Me How To Move, have a read, leave a comment and share my story. Perhaps it will give hope to another less than patient mom or at least give her a laugh.
Thank you, my lovely readers.

Read and loved it, Kelly. 😉
Thank you, Janine.
Off to read. Interestingly, the 1000Speak topic for this month is forgiveness also. I think.
I don’t actually know.
😀
Really? Could I post it there, do you think? Or best if I do a new one?
No, I think post this one!
Ok, thanks!
Just coming back here to tell you how much I loved that piece, Kelly! 🙂
Aw – thanks, Chris. Means the world to me.
I’m strolling around your blog today, and just realized I left a comment at The Good Mother Project, but never left one here. I love this piece – such good mothering. and a reminder of what an impact our words and reactions can have on our kids.
Aw, thank you, Susan.
