Listen To Your Mother

Just a quick post to announce some very exciting news. I’ve just learned that I’ve been accepted as a cast member of the Listen To Your Mother Seattle 2015 production. Wahoo!

I cannot tell you how honored and excited I am to be a part of the wonder that is Listen To Your Mother.

New to LTYM? This quote from the official site says it best.

“The mission of each LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER production is to take the audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates and validates mothering through giving voice to motherhood–in all of its complexity, diversity, and humor–in the form of original readings performed live on-stage by their authors.

LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER aims to support motherhood creatively through artistic expression, and also financially–through contributions to non-profit organizations supporting families in need. Each LTYM show donates a minimum of 10% of ticket proceeds to a local cause, as well as providing the cause awareness/fund-raising opportunities.”

This year the live shows take place in 39 American cities during the two weeks leading up to and including Mother’s Day on May 10th. Each show is recorded and broadcast on the LTYMShow You Tube channel.

Check out this link to view previous shows.

And what original Just TypiKel story will I be reading?

Sorry! It’s top-secret until show time!

I’d love it if you’d come and be a member of the audience as the 13 of us share our stories.

Enough about me and my LTYM delight. I’m curious about you. Are you a 2015 cast member? Have you auditioned in your city? Are you about to? Or perhaps you’ve been a cast member in previous shows? If so, what’s your favorite take away? If you’d care to share, I’d love to hear.
