Wheee! Pack your snacks and join me. We’re going on a field trip! Today I am writing about the grade three field trip from hell. Yes, I’m rehashing the horrific, muddy corn maze hell over at Coach Daddy.
Have to say I’m more than a bit thrilled to be guesting on Coach Daddy. I’ve popped by before to participate in Coach Daddy Eli’s 6 Words Post where he asks bloggers, strangers and friends to respond to a prompt in just six words. But this is the first time I get to wax on endlessly all by myself!
After you read my guest post poke around his site and get acquainted with my host. He is highly organized which leads me to suspect he’s one hell of a good coach. Not only does he coach soccer but he follows a blogging game plan that frankly makes me – the gal who comes up with blog ideas often on a whim – beyond jealous.
Mondays? Feature posts on “anything and everything.”
Wednesdays? Guest Blogs (like me today!)
Fridays? He answers a list of questions his three daughters have drawn up.
Last Wednesday of the month? The previously mentioned 6 words post.
But the best bit that I absolutely adore? He’s a Dad blogger. And he does it well.
Corn Maze Hell Over At Coach Daddy
Here’s a wee soupcon from my corn maze hell over at Coach Daddy:
“… I exchange worried looks with my fellow drivers – another mom and the teacher. Our panicked queries polite enquiries as to the whereabouts of the children’s “other clothes” are met with blank stares and carefree shoulder shrugs.
“I did warn them.” Ms D calls back over her shoulder as she ushers everyone to the door…”

Go on! Check it out! And leave a comment. Coach Daddy loves them!
Thanks Eli. Coach on.

Thank YOU Eli! It was so much fun! Come on over and hangout on my site sometime. I’ll pick you up! Promise to clean out the car first …
I’d love to! Just tell me when.
Yippee! How’s Wed. Dec 3rd?
I can dig it. Have a topic in mind?

Oh, I LOVE a field trip! I’ve had more than one hellish corn maze experience myself, so I can’t wait to commiserate!! –Lisa
Those field trips can be quite something,no? So unlike the dear teacher’s intention. Come to think of it I bet teachers could put together one hell of an anthology …
Tours of Duty, that’s what I like to call them.
Now there’s a blog post title. Perfect.
